Model of the Town 1740
It took three long years for the model "Arnstadt in about 1740" to be completed. Exact down to the last detail on a scale of 1:1200, the model creates a vivid impression of the appearance of the small town where royalty resided in the mid-18th century, with its many half-timbered houses and green oases. In the north-eastern corner of the town, the old Neideck Renaissance Castle, of which only the castle tower remains today, has risen again from the ruins.
The model crafted with great love and devotion in 36,000 hours of work can be seen in the gardener's house in the castle gardens.
