The royal palace of the Dukes of Meiningen presents paintings, sculptures and arts and crafts by European masters from 8 centuries, historic ballrooms, memorial rooms for Queen Adelaide of Great Britain, Friedrich Schiller and Max Reger, together with Ludwig Bechstein and Rudolf Baumbach in the Literature Museum. Musical history to touch, look at and listen to for all generations can be experienced in the exhibition "Meiningen - Court of Muses between Weimar and Bayreuth" in the former residential rooms of Duke Georg II and Helene Baroness of Heldburg.

The Castle Play World is designed to inspire children's imagination about life at court.
From 18 April, the special exhibitions "On the bottom line. Caricatures and Censorship in the GDR" and "Images of Germany. United Germany in Foreign Caricatures" present a humorous and thoughtful look at the GDR and the time after the fall of Communism.
