Restaurant Feine Speiseschenke
Situated at the heart of the fascinating karst landscape of the southern Harz region, the “Feine Speiseschenke” offers guests highly acclaimed gourmet cuisine. Its chef Andreas Oberbüchler treats guests to culinary creations that are mostly based on seasonal inspirations. One of the restaurant’s specialities is its braised Highland beef.
The route to the restaurant from the city of Nordhausen leads visitors directly into the hilly landscape of the Rüdigsdorf Switzerland region, where they can observe Highland cattle grazing on the luscious green slopes of the valley, admire the stunning orchards and make the most of a peaceful setting in which the chirping of the grasshoppers is the only sound to be heard. The restaurant itself is tastefully designed with subtle decorative features. Its large panoramic windows provide guests with a stunning view of the neighbouring terrace and large garden.
Andreas Oberbüchler has been running the restaurant as a family company together with his wife Patricia since 2013. His philosophy focuses on serving regional and seasonal dishes that have been modernly interpreted and feature Mediterranean influences. Be it a celebratory Valentine’s Day dinner, an American barbecue in the summer or a traditional roast dinner with goose for St Martin’s Day in November, it’s well worth taking a look at the restaurant’s programme of events!
