Arnstadt Railway Museum

As early as 1867, there was a a double-stand engine shed with a water supply building next to Arnstadt Railway Station. Today, not only railway lovers will enjoy the display in Arnstadt's historic engine shed. In an area of more than 1,000 m², a multitude of nostalgic steam and diesel engines create a lively picture of a past technical era. Together with the engines, visitors can also admire the still functioning workshop, with a forge, air hammer, lathes, drills and an historic coal stove.
