The "Eisenach Automobile World" is more than just a technical museum. Here the long history of automobile production can be traced in a contemporary context, from the makes of DIXI, BMW, EMW, IFA, WARTBURG through to OPEL.

Special exhibitions changing at six-monthly intervals supplement the programme on a topic-related basis. Particular highlights are the AWE Silver Arrow racing car dating from the 1950s and an authentic Dixi workshop from the 1920s with machine tools driven by transmission. The Museum also boasts numerous rally cars, prototypes which were never built, chassis studies and engine plans.
