Bears Park - Alternativer Bärenpark® Worbis

The Alternative Bärenpark® Worbis is an animal protection project unique in Germany, enabling visitors to see bears and wolves close by in their natural habitat. 12 bears and a pack of wolves that were previously kept in an inappropriate way now share a 40,000 m² area that has been left in its natural state. A teaching trail provides information about the types of bears and the abuse of bears world-wide. A number of event areas encourage exploration. A special highlight is our free-flight aviary which visitors can enter. There is also a farm with Thuringian domestic animal species threatened by extinction. Petting allowed!
